Staff Interview】Shop staff told us what fun it is to broadcast inside the museum.

Store Uzunokuni's in-store broadcasts provide information on hot-selling products and other information with a sense of humor and fun. Ms. Tanaka, a staff member, is in charge of in-store broadcasts, taking advantage of her experience as a member of the broadcasting club when she was a student. We spoke with her about the joys of broadcasting and voice-over work, including narrating and adding lines to the official Tiktok.

A place that will take advantage of my strengths.

Q. First of all, please tell us why you started broadcasting.

Yes, I have had a longing to be an animation voice actor since I was a child, and I joined the broadcasting club when I entered high school. When I first joined the club, I disliked my voice because I was unfamiliar with it, but as I improved, I grew to love it.

Q: Do you have any tips on how to improve?

First of all, giving a wide angle will make your pronunciation clearer. Next, matching your voice with your facial expression will help convey the mood more easily, and finally, the trick, in my opinion, is to speak from the belly. Belly breathing is very important.

ーYou joined our company as a store staffer, not as a voice actor, but did you know that you had a career in broadcasting?

I knew about it, but I never thought I would be allowed to broadcast it. I remember how happy I was when my boss said to me, "Well, if you're good at it, go for it! I remember how happy I was when my boss said to me, "Well, if you're good at it, go for it! I felt that this was a workplace where I could make the most of what I was good at, and where I could develop my strengths.

I'm glad to hear that. Now, let's see what you can do with the museum's broadcasts andTiktokHave there ever been any challenging moments through your narration of

I was very happy when I heard a customer say, "I heard the broadcast and was curious, so I came here to buy this! I was very happy to hear that and felt that it was a good thing that we broadcasted it.
I also enjoy it very much when I can broadcast with intonation and rhythm!

Valuing the "voice" as it really is

That's wonderful. Do you have a "voice" that you aim for, Mr. Tanaka?

I don't particularly want to sound like someone else. I just want to be myself and have a natural voice that fits the mood of the moment. I would like to keep my own voice quality in mind.

ーー That's wonderful. Finally, please tell us how you plan to deal with your future work, including broadcasting in the museum.

I would be happy if my broadcasts and voice-overs could help people learn about products and facilities, and I enjoy being involved in Tiktok and other video productions and would like to continue to do so.
However, there are times when I am able to convey my message on the air, but I am not able to convey what I want to say in conversation with others. I would like to improve my communication skills more so that I can convey my message in my own words, not just in a given script.

Thank you very much.

Today, Mr. Tanaka continues to enjoy sharing the world of Shop Uzunokuni through his microphone.
